A horseshoe bay that feels like a secret — turquoise water, no crowds, pure south.
Hiriketiya is a small, horseshoe-shaped bay near Dikwella on the south coast. It was discovered relatively recently by those who found Mirissa too busy, and for the moment retains the unhurried quality that makes the south coast so compelling. The swimming is excellent, the reef provides snorkelling, and the cafes that line the bay serve fresh catch and cold coconuts with equal ease.
