Ride the Indian Ocean's finest waves

Sri Lanka's two coastlines take turns facing the swell — so wherever you are on the island, there is always a wave within reach. Arugam Bay draws surfers from every corner of the world with its perfect right-hand point break. The south coast offers learner-friendly beach breaks from November through April. Whale watching, snorkelling the coral gardens of Pigeon Island, and sea kayaking around lagoon systems complete an ocean-facing itinerary unlike any other in South Asia.
